Come dressed in a bathing suit, bring a towel, water, change of clothes, a snack and STOKE.

What can I expect?
A 1.5 hour lesson consisted of 30-45 min of land instruction and the remainder of time in the water. We utilize a ratio of 4 participants to 1 instructor to ensure physical safety and adequate instruction. In this class you will learn surf etiquette, board management, wave anatomy, mechanics of a pop up and general safety tips!
Where can I park?
There is free parking along E Grand Ave near Pine St. in the marked spots.
What time should I arrive?
10 minutes prior to lesson start time to get suited in wetsuits!
Where do I meet my instructors?
Meet your instructors on the beach off of Pine Street. Walk down Pine Street, get to the beach path and walk down until you see your instructors off to the right.
Can I get a refund if I am not able to come to the signed up clinic?
You have to cancel 7 days prior to your session, otherwise we are unable to issue refunds. Please read our refund policy.

No experience necessary. These are introductory lessons where you will be able to learn from scratch the basics or keep improving your basic skills.
Our lessons include all the gear you need.
The short answer is NO. We are currently working towards getting winter gear, but we are hoping we can have winter programming in 2023.
Ideally, YES. Is important to know and understand what surf etiquette is and how you can manage different situations in the water. Good etiquette equals a good time in the waves.

Events and meetups

No, unless is noted different. We want everyone to get to know and feel comfortable with each other. We want all to see the beautiful community we see in Maine.
Yes! Our meetups are for everyone to get to know new folks and hopefully give a step forward to try surfing.
No experience is necessary! Our meetups are a place to come hang, chat and learn more from each other so we can feel more connected in the water. Who knows, you might make a friend or two!
Since these are not lessons, we ask folks to feel comfortable catching waves and practice etiquette.
No, this is a space designed for folks to chat and ask all the things you usually can’t when you are in the water, is a space to connect with each other.
We will have sporadic paddle outs when the forecast allows.
Our meetups are monthly gatherings designed to have conversations and connect with the community. Our paddle outs are just an excuse to surf together and do not have a defined scheduled.

To create an inclusive community we first need to make space for those who have been oppressed. Women have been in a constant fight for their basic rights through history and water sports has not been an exception in this fight. Although there is more representation out there nowadays, we still have a long way to go.
We all belong to this world, no one should feel entitled to it. The more people in the water, the more people creating connections to the ocean, therefore, the more people caring for the ecosystem.
