Volunteer Opportunities

  • Each meetup runs 2 hours, and your time commitment extends a bit beyond that on both ends. You'll arrive early to set up the space and make sure everything is ready for guests, then stay after to tidy up and close things out.

During the event itself, you'll warmly greet attendees as they arrive, help people feel at ease — especially newcomers — and naturally weave in what Palmar Collective is about. That means representing our mission and values in how you show up and in the conversations you have. You'll also point people toward our website so they can discover upcoming events and stay connected with the community.

  • Someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and making them feel seen and included. You're comfortable being the point person in a room, you care about community, and you can speak authentically about Palmar Collective's values without it feeling like a pitch. A little organization goes a long way here too — setup and breakdown run smoothly when someone's keeping track of the details.

  • Roughly 2.5 hours per meetup, including prep and cleanup.

Meetup Host

The Meetup Host is the face of Palmar Collective at our monthly gatherings. You're the first person attendees meet and the last one they see, setting the tone for a welcoming, values-driven experience from start to finish.

  • Activities that foster human connection, experiences that leave people feeling a little closer to the strangers they just met. You don't need to be a professional facilitator; you just need a good idea, a warm presence, and the ability to hold a group's energy for an hour.

Facilitator

The Meetup Facilitator will lead a free, community-centered activity by the water, call it yoga, volleyball, disc-golf, etc. We welcome proposals from individuals and collectives alike.
